This year's Mandel Graduates Conference focused on the Professional Identity of Mandel Graduates – entrepreneurs and leaders striving to transform the field of education and society in Israel and around the world.
The conference provided opportunities for the continued development of the Graduates’ professional identity through reflection and the acquisition of knowledge and tools – all these in the aim of consolidation of a vision, leadership empowerment, entrepreneurship encouragement and leveraging organizational management.
The conference components were designed to add an additional dimension to the professional Mandel Graduates community that focuses and operates in the educational and social fields.
Workshops, Lectures and the Initiatives Fair
Prof. Robert Kegan of Harvard University opened the conference with a workshop that examined the “Immunity to Change" theory underlying his research and its effects on the professional identity of managers and leaders in organizations. The components of professional identity continued to be examined and explored throughout the day in various workshops and sessions.
The conference concluded with Prof. David Dery's lecture on the central role played by leadership and entrepreneurship in shaping the professional identity of Mandel Graduates. The Social and Educational Initiatives Fair provided an additional opportunity for Mandel Graduates to present to the Mandel community their new educational and social initiatives.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2011 Mandel Graduates Conference for Education and Society.
