Gila Ben-Har
Graduate of Cohort 1, Mandel School for Educational Leadership CEO of The Center for Educational Technology (CET)
Gila Ben-Har received BA and MA degrees from Bar Ilan University, where she specialized in curricular planning, educational administration, and educational technology.
As a fellow of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership's first cohort, she focused on studying trends in decentralization and centralization of the education system, and on the status of the education system in local authorities.
After graduating Mandel Leadership Institute, Ms. Ben-Har served as director of several educational systems, including the Authority for Education Culture, and Sport of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality. In this capacity, she was in charge of planning and implementation of the municipality's educational policy.
For the past five years, Ben-Har has served as CEO of the Center for Educational Technology (CET), a nonprofit institution that promotes the advancement of education in Israel. The institution, with its 250 employees, has spearheaded the development of printed and digital material for teaching, learning, and evaluation.
In her position as CEO, Gila is responsible for several major areas of the organization's activities including curricula development; development and publication of textbooks and digital content; development of professional training programs; and development of computerized materials for management, teaching, and learning as well as for professional evaluation and development.
