Throughout the Conference, which was opened by Prof. Anders Aspling, Chair of the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative, a number of contemporary burning issues in Israeli education were discussed, amongst them: Youth at risk, academic quality and increasing accessibility to higher education, values education, standards in education, privatization of the education system and children with special needs in the education system.

The conference also featured a media panel of some of Israe's top journalists and broadcasters- Yael Dan, Nehamiah Stressler, Aryeh Golan and the spokesman of Israel's Ministry of Education who addressed the subject  'Education in the eyes of the Media'.
Participants also heard lecture from media personality and political commentator, Dan Margalit. The Conference ended with an intimate performance by musician, Matti Caspi.
